Eksamenstiden nærmer seg for oss studenter. For de av oss med ikke-eksisterende studievaner som meg, har jeg funnet ut den perfekte motivasjonen slik at man ikke sløser tid.
Jeg tenkte først på at jeg kunne gi penger til veldedighet hvis jeg ikke brukte tiden konstruktivt. Men, jeg fant fort ut at det ikke var så farlig om jeg ga en god del til veldedighet, da kunne jeg ihvertfall se på meg selv som et gavmildt menneske. Da slo det meg:
Spillebudsjett i Las Vegas!
Budsjettet er strengt tatt ikke bare for spilling, men også nattklubbesøk o.l., mat og drikke går utenom slik at det ikke er fare for at jeg skal sulte. Jeg kommer til å starte på $1000, og trekke $20 per time med sløst tid. Det er ekstra bonus for toppkarakterer, og straff for dårlige. Potensielt kan budsjettet bli på hele $1600, som jeg anser som en fin investering i min fremtid 🙂
Denne eksakte idéen kan kanskje ikke brukes av alle, men kan fint tilpasses til andre destinasjoner.

Good travel mates is of the upmost importance. If you can’t stand them, your trip will be a nerve wrecking experience. Our former experience as travel mates include: Biking in Germany, Interrail in Europe and several adventurous trips to Djupen. Therefore we already know how to annoy each other and make it a miserable trip 😉
Buy the tickets early, we did it a year in advance — don’t give yourself the possibility to back out!
Organize important information regarding the trip so you don’t forget it. And Eivind just wanted it.

Update: The US is now the fifth most expensive country to visit
Visiting Cameron in Glasgow, we’re warming up for Road Trip ’09 with a drive in the Scottish Highlands. Just finishing a guided tour at the Auchentoshan Whisky Distillery — with the mandatory tasting afterwards — we’re now heading for Loch Lomond in our flashy rented Vauxhall Astra. Our two designated drivers both face different challenges — while Cameron always enjoys a taste of whisky, for Erlend staying on the right (left…) side of the road is enough to contend with. Fortunately we saved eight pounds by skipping the insurance…
